Our 1930s Gresley Buffet Carriage can be hired for 12 to 24 guests for special occasions and private functions. We can host lunches and afternoon teas.
Lunches, hot snacks, cold snacks and drinks from the Station Bar are available on event days, special occasions and private functions. We are renowned for our afternoon teas and home made cakes.

The Buffet Carraige is open to visitors at these times and are subject to staff or volunteer availability.

Recently my Mother celebrated her birthday in the lovely train buffet car at Rushden Transport Museum. The car holds about 24 people, so it is an ideal size for an intimate tea party, with all her friends. The food was delicious and included homemade scones, with clotted cream & a selection of jams, butterfly cakes, and a lovely coffee cake, that was requested. Lovely mismatched china, bunting etc added to the party atmosphere. It is also possible to add personal touches, such as a birthday cake, and our own flowers for each table, as we did. The service was great, and everyone was happy. I would definitely recommend this venue for all small gatherings.
Thank you very much for a lovely brunch with Santa. Our granddaughters had a magical time.
Just had another amazing afternoon tea at station. This Time it was a Christmas special, the ladies work so hard and do an amazing job, thank you so much.
